Trumpeter Swan Family

A pair of Trumpeter Swans hatched five cygnets in 2020 at Potter Marsh near Anchorage, Alaska. They successfully raised all five until they were able to fly. Two cygnets were lost to hunters in the fall and a few days later one of the adults disappeared. The remaining adult continued to care for three cygnets until ice was forming on Potter Marsh. They left the Marsh soon after. These videos document the 2020 swan family's summer and fall at Potter Marsh, a portion of the videos of another swan family in 2021, and some videos from 2022.

The index pages contain two-minute excepts from longer videos. Click the date under each short to view the entire footage from that day. The longer videos have occasional time stamps. Where times overlap, footage was shot at the same time with two cameras.
